Protection from hot measuring media and pulsating pressure fluctuations (acc. to EN 837-1, the measuring medium temperature should not exceed 60°C)
Mounting is either made directly before the connection pin of the measuring device or - even better - before the pressure gauge shut-off device (cock or valve)
Before start-up, the siphon is to be filled with cold medium as sealing fluid between pressure and measuring device connection. With gaseous measuring media, a cold condensate is used as cooling section
