Information on the technical change concerning the JAKO standard protective tubes for screwing in form 01 (copper alloy)
The design of a thermometer protection tube is a decisive factor for its functionality, safety and durability. Thermowells are used to protect temperature sensors from mechanical, chemical and thermal influences and to ensure optimum heat transfer. The economic aspect must not be ignored. In addition to the thermowells according to DIN 43772, JAKO Messtechnik GmbH offers a cost-effective alternative with the JAKO standard thermowells for screwing in form 01 made of copper alloy. These thermowells are specially designed for closed water circuits in building services engineering and are perfectly matched to our product range in this area.
The following improvements have been implemented to give our customers a wider range of applications, simpler installation and an even longer service life for our products:
- The new G1/2 B thermowell connections have a recess on the hexagon to accommodate a fixing clip. This fastening clip can optionally be obtained with the thermowell if the cables of a temperature sensor need to be routed accordingly. In addition to the familiar plastic compression fitting, this provides a second fastening option for electrical temperature sensors that can be installed without tools.



- The tube dimensions of the multi-piece brazed copper alloy protective tubes have been changed from 8.10 x 0.40 mm to 9.00 x 0.85 mm. The increased wall thickness significantly increases the resistance to mechanical loads. This is not only noticeable in the installed state, but also begins with the logistics of these accessories. Measuring devices are often exposed to a wide variety of mechanical influences in the run-up to use. During operation, redimensioning not only has a positive effect on loads such as pressure, flow forces and vibrations, but also on corrosion resistance.
