International recognition

Accreditation, officially authorised and internationally recognised

JAKO is accredited by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy as Austrian verification centre and internationally recognised ÖKD calibration centre for pressure gauges in accordance with ISO EN 17025. Thus, JAKO has taken over duties that used to be the sole domain of the Austrian Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying.

Accreditationis the formal and official recognition of the competence and skills required to act as independent conformity evaluation body - in the case of JAKO, as calibration laboratory as well as officially authorised verification centre.

Accreditation marks

The accreditation authorises JAKO to use the two accreditation marks:

Officially authorised
verification centre

for pressure gauges

Internationally recognised
calibration centre

for pressure gauges and
electronic direct reading
pressure measuring devices!

Traceability

In regular monitoring audits, JAKO has to prove compliance with the strict requirements to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy and the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying.

This ensures that our verification and calibration service guarantees complete traceability to the national standard. In regular interlaboratory comparisons, the traceability of the JAKO standards used is ensured in an exchange process with the Austrian Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying (Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen - BEV) and other laboratories.
